It's easy to trace the roots of Matenaer Corporation's business philosophy of striving to be a resource for solutions to our customers' needs. Around 1970, Joe Matenaer, who was then a steel salesman, saw the difficulties one of his customers, a small appliance manufacturer, was having with stamping some small parts. Joe provided the solution by setting up a small stamping shop and solving his customer's problem. While more than forty years have passed, nothing has changed with the company's original philosophy - when our customers have a need, we will provide the solution.

That's about the only thing that hasn't changed at Matenaer Corporation. Continually adding capacity and capabilities, we now operate out of 85,000 sq. feet in the mid-west. We operate three slitting lines, over twenty-five punch presses from high speed light gauge up to 500 tons, a fully equipped tool and die shop, a CNC machining department, a fabricating department complete with CNC laser cutting, forming and welding and the most recent addition, DACROMET® and GEOMET® coating lines. As rapid as the expansion of Matenaer Corporation's capabilities has been, the progress of its people is even more impressive. We believe in fully training and cross training our most valuable resource, our employees. We equip them with the latest production, quality, and communication and information technology.

Unlike many in the "metal bending" industry, we have not simply settled into a comfort zone. We do not subscribe to the "do one thing and try to do it right" philosophy. Unlike so many others, we are not merely a supplier of product. We understand our customers expect and are entitled to so much more. Our organization is set up to be a business resource. In this ultra competitive business environment, we know we must provide the best overall value to our customers at every step of the procurement process from feasibility and design, to purchase and delivery through post delivery support. Our people are trained and trained again to deliver knowledgeable, efficient and value-added solutions to our customers' component part and assembly requirements.
